How long have you been in business?
I started my business almost three years ago, however I have been a fan of massage for most of my life. I first found massage in my early 20's and fell in love with receiving it. Later in life I realized that I wanted to share that feeling of peacefulness with others.
What is your primary product or service?
I am a licensed massage therapist. I work with the soft tissues of my client's body to improve circulation, increase range of motion, speed healing time, and reinforce a healthy sense of well-being. While I work on the physical body, I focus also on the emotional and spiritual side as well, to make lasting results.
I also excited to offer herbal wraps and a very nice "Spa Experience" package.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I treated myself to my first massage when I was in my early twenties. I have loved to receive treatments ever since. Then after many good years at my j.o.b. I realized that I was ready for a new challenge and decided to become a massage therapist. And I'm so glad I did!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Many of the similar businesses in my area are spas. They try to compete by keeping their prices very low. Because their prices are so low, they generally have a pretty busy schedule, one client per hour. This, in my experience as a client myself, can feel somewhat rushed and impersonal.
My price is fairly average and my massages are focused. Each treatment is tailored to my clients specific goals, which is discussed at the beginning of each session.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I am proud to be not only a private practitioner, but a part of the family at The Center For Advanced Energy Therapeutics, "Where Possibilities Become Realities". I love it there and so do my clients.
Occasionally I may work on the Northwest side as needed too.
It all depends on what is most convenient for my client.
